Compliance Officer Intern at Konga Online Shopping Limited

About the Role

The Compliance Officer Intern will assist in ensuring KongaPay remains compliant with regulatory standards, internal policies, and industry best practices, especially in the areas of AML/CFT. This role is ideal for recent graduates or students currently pursuing a degree in Law, Finance, Economics, or related disciplines with an interest in regulatory compliance, governance, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring daily transactions to identify suspicious or unusual activities related to money laundering or terrorist financing
• Support the documentation and reporting of identified suspicious transactions under the guidance of senior compliance officers
• Help maintain and update AML/CFT policies, manuals, and compliance frameworks
• Participate in staff awareness campaigns on compliance issues, particularly AML/CFT risk indicators
• Work closely with other departments to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements
• Assist in reviewing training materials and supporting the delivery of AML/CFT-related training sessions
• Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, including risk assessments, investigation reports, and compliance reviews
• Contribute to compliance-related projects or reviews, providing inputs and performing assigned tasks
• Collaborate with the Chief Compliance and Risk Officer to identify control gaps and recommend corrective actions
