As a Completions Engineer III, you will prepare detailed engineering designs and coordinate all phases of well planning and completion. You will ensure geological and reservoir objectives are met while maintaining the highest standards of engineering integrity, safety, and environmental protection.

Main Functions

• Prepare detailed engineering designs and coordinate all phases of planning and completing wells
• Ensure geological and reservoir objectives of the well are met while applying the highest standards of engineering integrity, safety, and environmental protection to well design and execution
• Prepare designs and well plans representing optimal costs and investments
• Provide technical review and support to drilling team designs and operations
• Evaluate and progress new technology, including subsea technology applications

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and approve comprehensive completions programs
• Prepare cost estimates for selection of optimal alternatives
• Conduct material and equipment selection and evaluation
• Manage government regulatory requirements, approvals, and permits
• Prepare and analyze technical bid documentation
• Work closely with other groups to ensure programs are based on all available geological, reservoir, and drilling information from area wells
• Provide completion surveillance and engineering assessments with recommendations to Operations Superintendent on critical activities and problems
• Provide surveillance and technical assistance on development projects, equipment testing, and new procedures
• Collaborate with safety, environmental, and field operations personnel to optimize safety performance
• Oversee new completions and workovers, including execution and completion of timing projects
• Conduct post-evaluation of capital projects and manage financial accruals
• Act as interface and liaison engineer with joint venture partners
• Identify opportunities for improved application of completion technologies and practices
