Position Overview

The Big Smile Foundation, with support from the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS), seeks a highly skilled and experienced Community Liaison Focal Point. In this role, you will liaise with communities, traditional leaders, local authorities, NGOs, INGOs, and other relevant stakeholders to gather information that supports TBSF's operational planning using interviews, meetings, community mapping, and other participatory approaches.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the coordination and implementation of all assigned stakeholder-level engagements in the communities as outlined in the Project detailed implementation plan, in line with FRAD program quality principles and standards, donor requirements, and good practices
• Monitor and report any challenges and/or gaps identified to inform adjustments to plans and implementation schedules
• Assist TBSF partners in their efforts to reflect on project experiences related to stakeholder engagement
• Engage with stakeholders at the LGA levels to provide briefing and updates and secure necessary support for project implementation
• Ensure that essential feedback regarding the program from LGA and state-level stakeholders is shared effectively and regularly with TBSF senior management
• Work jointly to create and sustain a consistent and unified TBSF approach to stakeholder engagement, stakeholder feedback, and reporting at the community level
• Gather information relating to accidents and survivors of Explosive Ordnance within the community of implementation and inform the EORE Instructor
• Gather data relating to the impact of TBSF's work through relevant reports and case studies/success stories
