Community Engagement Officer

About the Role

The Foundation for Cancer Care is seeking a Community Engagement Officer to coordinate and implement its community health programs. You will play a vital role in connecting the organization with stakeholders, managing program logistics, and supporting the Foundation's mission to combat cancer through education, screening, and treatment initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the implementation of the Foundation's educational, screening, and treatment programs
• Plan and execute logistics for the Foundation's community programs
• Coordinate activities and programs of the Cancer Support Group
• Interface with stakeholders and vendors to support program implementation
• Contribute to day-to-day project implementation and ensure alignment with project objectives and work-plans
• Maintain inventory of educational and promotional materials
• Provide support to fundraising events and activities
• Work with the Program Manager and fundraising team to develop, draft, and submit funding proposals and concepts
• Schedule meetings, draft minutes, and track action items
• Liaise with staff and contribute to overall organizational effectiveness
• Provide support to team members as needed
• Support special initiatives and other assigned duties as required

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Social Sciences, Health Education, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in community mobilization, health promotion, and implementation of social impact projects

Required Skills

• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Proficiency with data management tools
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Passion for social impact in the health sector
