Briscoe Properties Limited (BPL) is a real estate development company and subsidiary of R.T. Briscoe (Nigeria) Plc. We offer sales, management, and engineering services related to the property industry.
Position Overview
We seek an experienced Civil Engineer with project management skills to complete construction projects by planning, organizing, directing, and controlling activities; completing quality inspections; and supervising sub-contractors and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform engineering duties in planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures and facilities in plants and estates
- Estimate quantities and costs of materials to determine feasibility of given projects
- Provide technical advice regarding designs, construction, program modifications, and structural repairs
- Conduct studies of environmental conditions to identify engineering problems and assess potential impacts of projects
- Direct construction, operations, and maintenance activities in plant and estate jobs
- Plan maintenance jobs and scheduling
- Raise indents (orders) for critical spare parts
- Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance activities
- Log daily job reports
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety measures and procedures during job execution
- Coordinate jobs with other sections and departments for seamless operations and maintenance activities
- Prepare weekly and monthly consumption reports
Required Qualifications
- Civil Engineering Degree
- Minimum of 5–6 years practical working experience on site
- Strong design and execution skills
- Professional license from recognized Engineering Regulatory Bodies in Nigeria (COREN, NSE, or PMP)
- Proven experience in infrastructure and building projects
- Expert-level project management experience
- Proficiency in standard industry software
