About the Role

The Chief Security Officer (CSO) is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the company's security strategy to safeguard personnel, assets, operations, and information. The CSO provides leadership in all areas of physical and digital security, ensures compliance with security policies and regulations, and fosters a culture of safety and risk awareness across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive security policies, standards, and procedures
• Manage and oversee the company's physical security systems, including surveillance, access control, and perimeter protection
• Lead and coordinate the activities of the security department, including supervision of security personnel and external contractors
• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective measures
• Ensure the safety and protection of employees, visitors, and company property
• Collaborate with government and law enforcement agencies on matters related to corporate security and compliance
• Develop and implement emergency response and crisis management plans
• Investigate incidents, thefts, or security breaches and prepare detailed reports
• Provide training and awareness programs on security policies and emergency procedures
• Oversee cybersecurity measures in collaboration with the IT department to protect digital assets and sensitive information
• Prepare and manage the security department's budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency
• Stay updated on emerging security threats, technologies, and best practices

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminology, Law Enforcement, or a related field
• Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPP, PSP, CISSP) is an added advantage
• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in security management, preferably in a corporate or industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of physical and digital security practices
