## Title: Business Manager – Business Development

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Business Manager with Business Development expertise to lead our operations and drive growth initiatives in Lagos. The successful candidate will oversee daily business management, develop and execute strategies to expand market share, forge new partnerships, and ensure the company meets its financial and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Growth (70% Focus)

  • Strategy & Planning: Identify new market opportunities, analyze business trends, and develop actionable strategies to penetrate new sectors and expand the client base
  • Sales & Lead Generation: Actively seek out new clients, conduct cold outreach, network, and attend industry events to generate high-quality leads and drive the sales pipeline
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key accounts, strategic partners, and stakeholders
  • Proposal & Negotiation: Develop compelling business proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals that align with company financial targets
  • Market Analysis: Conduct regular competitive analysis to identify company strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for service/product innovation

Operational Management (30% Focus)

  • Financial Oversight: Monitor budgets, track financial performance, manage expenses, and generate detailed reports for senior management
  • Team Leadership: Oversee daily operations, manage and mentor internal teams, and ensure workflow processes are efficient and effective
  • Compliance: Ensure the business operates in full compliance with local Nigerian business regulations, labor laws, and industry standards
  • Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely reports on business development activities, financial status, and overall operational performance

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Must currently reside in Lagos, Nigeria
  • Strong understanding of the local market and business environment
