Job Summary
PalmPay is seeking a proactive and performance-driven Field Sales Business Development Manager to drive the adoption of our ATM Card solutions and onboard agents to enable market expansion. The ideal candidate is a strategic sales professional with a deep understanding of Nigeria's retail, SME, and informal markets.
Key Responsibilities
Agent Acquisition & Activation
- Identify and onboard agents across markets and key informal sectors
- Promote PalmPay's ATM Card payment adoption
- Educate agents on transaction processes, benefits, and settlement terms
- Ensure successful agent activation and early transaction ramp-up
Field Sales Execution
- Conduct physical sales visits, product demonstrations, and onboarding sessions
- Build and manage a pipeline of prospective merchants and partners
- Collect market intelligence and provide feedback to improve product-market fit
Team Coordination & Agent Oversight
- Work with and supervise field sales agents to expand the merchant network
- Ensure targets are met through training, motivation, and field support
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track daily, weekly, and monthly performance using CRM tools
- Report on acquisition metrics, transaction growth, and activation success rates
- Provide regular insights and recommendations to improve field strategy
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related discipline
- 2 years' experience in fintech, payments, or merchant/agent services sales
- Proven ability to execute merchant acquisition and field sales strategies
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
- Experience managing field teams and working toward targets
- Deep knowledge of local market dynamics and payment behavior
