Role Overview
Reports To: Intelligence Systems General Manager
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities within the defense and security sectors. The role focuses on building lasting relationships with defense agencies, government procurement units, and private security firms to achieve business growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies to expand the company's cybersecurity market presence
- Identify and pursue new clients within government agencies, defense institutions, and private organizations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
- Lead proposal development, bids, and contract negotiations
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments
- Collaborate with technical teams to align solutions with client needs
- Prepare and present business performance reports to management
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Revenue and margin targets achieved
- Number and value of contracts and tenders won
- Strength and conversion rate of sales pipeline
- Growth in strategic partnerships and distribution channels
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, IT, or a related field (MBA is an advantage)
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in business development, preferably in cybersecurity, ICT, or defense technology
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity solutions and market dynamics
- Proven track record of achieving business growth targets
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Solid understanding of VPAM standards
- Self-motivated, strategic thinker, and result-oriented professional
