## Title: Business Development Manager – Electricity Distribution

Job Summary

African Industries Group (AIG) is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead strategic business initiatives, ensure adherence to industry regulations, and drive revenue growth in the Shagamu/Ogijo Cluster of Ogun State, Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business strategies to grow market share and revenue within the cluster
  • Ensure compliance with electricity sector rules, regulations, and policies as stipulated by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) and other governing bodies
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships in the electricity distribution market
  • Monitor regulatory changes, analyze their impact on operations, and implement required adjustments
  • Build and manage relationships with stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, local communities, and business partners
  • Oversee customer engagement initiatives aimed at improving satisfaction, retention, and service delivery
  • Prepare business performance reports and present insights to senior management
  • Lead and mentor the commercial and business development teams within the cluster

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in business development or regulatory affairs within the power, utilities, or energy sector
  • Sound understanding of electricity market operations, compliance frameworks, and NERC regulations
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic thinking with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and business analytics tools
