Role Overview
We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Biomedical Field Service Engineer. This role combines technical expertise in medical equipment maintenance with customer service excellence and revenue growth initiatives.
Maintenance Responsibilities
- Ensure proper care and management of spares, tools, and test equipment
- Enhance and maintain technical knowledge of current standards, codes, and procedures regarding safe and effective use of medical equipment
- Maintain awareness of Environment, Health, and Safety requirements
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of all OEM solutions for installation and maintenance
Service Delivery
- Complete all administrative tasks promptly, including service and installation reports, and travel requests
- Escalate service issues to OEMs through appropriate tools and platforms while ensuring timely troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime
- Ensure uptime guarantees and cost control of assigned equipment
- Implement Field Change Orders (FCOs) and order critical spare parts in a timely manner
Customer Management
- Work as a member of the local team to provide efficient service delivery to customers within assigned area
- Respond to every customer complaint within established time limits
- Maintain regular interface with doctors and operators regarding equipment status to ensure customer satisfaction
- Promptly document all service calls
Revenue Management
- Drive revenue growth through customer support (CS) business
- Ensure timely renewal of CS contracts in conjunction with Business Development team
- Include CS contracts at point of sale (POS)
- Assist in sales visits and identify sales opportunities to communicate to the Sales team
- Train others where necessary
- Recommend equipment, software, or solution upgrades or replacements to existing customers
Training & Development
- Complete all planned Quality and Compliance training within defined deadlines
- Complete all assigned e-learning modules within stipulated timeframes
- Attend scheduled onsite trainings
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare company or hospital setting
