Biology/Geography Tutor at Palm Spring Preparatory School

About the Role

We are seeking a knowledgeable, patient, and engaging Biology/Geography Tutor to provide academic support and guidance to students in understanding key biological and geographical concepts. The tutor will help students improve their comprehension, develop effective study skills, and prepare for exams, assignments, and practical work.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging one-on-one or group tutoring sessions in Biology and Geography, tailored to each student's academic level
• Explain complex scientific and geographical concepts in clear, relatable ways
• Assist students with homework, assignments, lab reports, map work, and project preparation
• Develop customized lesson plans, worksheets, and learning resources for both subjects
• Identify areas where students need improvement and design targeted strategies to address them
• Prepare students for quizzes, tests, and examinations according to the curriculum
• Teach and reinforce key skills such as map reading, data interpretation, and scientific analysis
• Encourage critical thinking, curiosity, and independent learning habits
• Monitor and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and/or parents
• Stay updated on curriculum requirements, new teaching strategies, and subject developments

Education & Experience

• NCE in Biology/Geography
• Bachelor of Education in Geography or Biology with IGCSE Certification, OR
• BSc. in Geography
• Minimum of four to eight years of relevant teaching experience in both subjects
