Barman at Yitro Guest House

Role Summary

We are seeking a barman responsible for providing excellent beverage service, creating memorable guest experiences, and ensuring efficient bar operations. The ideal candidate must be personable, detail-oriented, and able to craft both classic and contemporary drinks while maintaining a clean and organized workspace in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, mix, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes
• Greet customers warmly, take drink orders, and provide recommendations when needed
• Ensure the bar is fully stocked with spirits, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies at all times
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area in compliance with health and safety regulations
• Manage cash, process payments, and issue receipts accurately
• Monitor customer behavior and ensure responsible alcohol service
• Maintain inventory levels and report shortages or needs to management
• Create a positive atmosphere by engaging customers professionally
• Handle customer complaints or issues courteously and promptly
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and security protocols

Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE (Secondary School Certificate Examination)
• Hospitality training is an advantage
• Proven experience as a bartender or mixologist
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, and beverage preparation
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Good numeracy skills and basic cash-handling experience
• Well-groomed, punctual, and reliable
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Compensation

N40,000 – N50,000 per month
