Position Overview
We are recruiting for a leading European multinational specializing in sealants, adhesives, PU foams, and technical sprays used in the construction and building industry.
This is a 100% sales-focused, hunter role. We are seeking a driven B2B Field Sales Executive with hands-on experience selling building or construction materials directly to contractors, construction companies, installers, and project teams.
Note: If your background is primarily in retail, FMCG, or marketing without construction exposure, this role may not be the right fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively prospect and win new business from construction companies, contractors, installers, and project teams
- Conduct frequent construction site visits to identify opportunities and engage with site engineers, foremen, and project managers
- Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships to drive repeat business
- Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Conduct product demonstrations and provide basic technical support on-site when required
- Gather market intelligence on competitors, pricing, and ongoing construction projects
- Prepare regular sales activity reports, pipelines, and forecasts
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years B2B sales experience in the building materials or construction sector (e.g., sealants, adhesives, PU foams, sanitary ware, electrical materials, hardware, or contracting materials)
- Proven experience selling directly to contractors, construction companies, or installers
- Strong hunter mentality: proactive, target-driven, persistent, and confident in closing deals
- Comfortable working in a field sales role with regular site visits
- Excellent spoken English and strong communication skills; able to engage diverse stakeholders, including foreign clients
- Based in Lagos and willing to travel across Lagos and surrounding regions
