Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to support the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations. The Assistant Head Chef will ensure high food quality standards, maintain efficient workflow, and deliver exceptional dining experiences. This role requires strong culinary skills, leadership ability, and a passion for culinary excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and menu execution
- Supervise kitchen staff and ensure compliance with food preparation standards
- Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation
- Monitor food inventory, stock levels, and minimize wastage
- Enforce hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards at all times
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to improve performance and skills
- Step in for the Head Chef when required
- Collaborate with management on menu planning and special events
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or related field
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Prior experience in a supervisory or assistant chef role (advantageous)
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
