Assistant Chef at Chrisvirgy Homes

We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill this position. Job Description (Key Responsibilities)

• Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations

• Prepare ingredients and dishes according to set recipes and standards

• Ensure consistency in food quality, portioning, and presentation

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations

• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health regulations at all times

• Assist with stock control, storage, and inventory rotation

• Support food preparation for banquets, events, and room service

• Report equipment issues and assist with basic kitchen maintenance

• Comply with all hotel kitchen policies and procedures

Job Specification (Skills & Competencies)

• Basic to intermediate culinary skills

• Ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Good time-management and organizational abilities

• Ability to work under pressure and flexible hours

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices

• Willingness to learn and grow within the kitchen team.
