About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Calabar. As Area Sales Manager, you will oversee and drive sales within your allocated territory, managing key business relationships and implementing strategic initiatives to achieve company objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and drive sales performance within the assigned territory
- Manage relationships with distributors and retailers
- Implement and execute sales strategies to achieve targets
- Analyze market trends and identify growth opportunities
- Lead and mentor sales team members
- Ensure operational excellence and achievement of business objectives
- Travel within the assigned territory as needed
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in Sales Management, distributor handling, and market analysis
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
- Strong negotiation skills
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets through effective planning and execution
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Willingness to be based in Calabar and travel within the assigned territory
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the Nigerian FMCG market
- Experience in the vegetable oil industry
