Accountant (FMCG) at J-Six Group

About the Role

We are seeking a business-savvy accountant for our branch in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. This position offers a great opportunity for career growth within the FMCG sector. Prior experience in FMCG is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist management in the decision-making process by monitoring budgets and financial forecasts
• Coordinate weekly and monthly stock taking activities
• Examine financial records to ensure accuracy
• Ensure the brand's cash management and banking activities are efficiently carried out
• Handle stock reconciliation and inventory monitoring
• Collect and analyse data for the preparation of weekly and monthly financial estimates
• Perform general accounting activities, including preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements (balance sheets, profit and loss statements, cash flow statements, capital expenditure schedules)
• Produce management reports for the brand
• Generate monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting

Required Reports

• Monthly P&L report
• Monthly Stock Reconciliation and Variance Report
• Other reports as required

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Banking and Finance
• 2 - 3 years of experience in the FMCG sector (mandatory)
• Proficiency in Excel (mandatory)
• Knowledge of Zoho (advantageous)
• High integrity and ability to maintain utmost confidentiality
• Business-savvy mindset
