About the Role

An established company is recruiting for an Accountant to manage the company's financial health. In this role, you will be responsible for recording, analyzing, and reporting financial data to support informed business decisions. You will use accounting software to maintain accurate records, track transactions, and provide crucial financial insights to guide strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, such as balance sheets and income statements, and provide analysis on company performance
• Develop and manage budgets and financial forecasts to help plan for the future
• Calculate, prepare, and file taxes, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and offer advice on tax planning
• Conduct internal audits and reconcile bank statements to identify and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records, including ledgers and transactional data
• Analyze costs and recommend ways to reduce expenses and improve profitability
• Advise management on financial matters, such as investments, and help guide strategic decisions

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• HND or Bachelor's Degree
• 3-4 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and tax laws
• Attention to detail and accuracy
