Account Officer / Accountant at Majeurs

Job Summary

We are hiring an Account Officer with excellent accounting skills and a strong work ethic to manage financial requests and ensure accuracy. You will be responsible for maintaining comprehensive financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and providing financial insights to support company operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accounting records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and other financial data
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
• Check and verify invoices for accuracy
• Reconcile accounts to the general ledger
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts regularly
• Contact clients regarding transactions, invoices, and payment collection
• Handle and resolve account-related queries from internal and external sources
• Prepare and analyse financial statements to provide insights and recommendations to the Managing Director
• Prepare departmental budgets with measurable objectives for procurement review and payment processing
• Implement, manage budgets, and identify cost-reduction opportunities
• Manage cash flow and handle budget-related queries
• Ensure company compliance with PAYE, LIRS, FIRS, and local government body requirements
• Analyse account issues and provide appropriate solutions
• Create accounting strategies to maximize profits
• Create regulatory reports for company auditors
• Perform internal audits on financial activities
• Utilise database software to organize financial account information
