About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional ready to bring structure and clarity to day-to-day finance operations for Milestone Boutique Apartments and its Real Estate Development sister company. You will be trusted to manage everything from month-end closing and budgeting to year-end reporting, while working closely with the Director on key strategic financial decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities and financial operations
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate transactions
- Maintain detailed records and perform cross-examination of transactions, invoices, payments, and expenses
- Process monthly payroll journals and reconcile payroll records to accounts
- Manage and process bills and invoices
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting activities
- Prepare the company's annual accounts for submission to regulatory bodies (FIRS and JTB)
- Track project activity progress to enable appropriate project financial performance analysis, including risk assessment
- Manage project data to ensure accurate reporting and accounts integrity
- Prepare monthly financial information by investigating variances and analyzing project performance against budget
- Track intercompany transactions and assist with cost and revenue reporting
- Collaborate with supply chain, commercial, and operations teams to gain insights into project performance
- Complete ad hoc projects as required
Key Requirements
- University degree or professional qualification in Accounting
- 2–3 years of relevant work experience in accounting
- Proven experience in taxation and accounting for production or bakery operations
- Proven knowledge of Nigerian accounting and taxation laws
