Youth Corps Member (Web Designer)

Position Overview

GeekHub Nigeria is seeking vibrant, result-driven NYSC Youth Corps Members to serve as Web Designers. You will be responsible for creating visually appealing and user-friendly websites, ensuring proper functionality, and implementing design principles to enhance user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop visually appealing, user-friendly websites
• Ensure proper website functionality and performance
• Implement design principles to enhance user experience
• Integrate front-end and back-end components
• Manage databases and ensure data integrity

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven experience as a Web Developer with proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Strong understanding of responsive web design, cross-browser compatibility, and web accessibility standards
• Experience with front-end frameworks/libraries (e.g., Bootstrap, React, Vue.js)
• Experience with back-end languages/frameworks (e.g., PHP, Python, Node.js)
• Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Experience with database management using MySQL and PHP
• Strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with web development tools and IDEs
• Familiarity with frameworks such as Code Igniter or Laravel
• Proficiency with design software (e.g., Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Experience using AI coding tools for website and landing page development
• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT or Google Gemini
