About the Role

Carlson Hotel is expanding its dynamic team and seeking dedicated service professionals to join us in Lagos, Nigeria. We are looking for talented individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional hospitality experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet all guests with warm, genuine hospitality and maintain eye contact and professional courtesy throughout every interaction
• Take food and drink orders while engaging with customers to enhance their dining experience
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations about menu items, specials, and beverage options using effective upselling techniques
• Deliver orders to the kitchen and ensure accurate and timely preparation
• Serve food and beverages to customers in a professional and courteous manner
• Periodically check on guests to ensure satisfaction with their meals
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and courteously
• Present bills and process customer payments accurately in cash, credit cards, and other payment forms
• Manage customer tabs and accounts
• Set tables with appropriate utensils, glassware, and napkins
• Clear tables efficiently after guests leave and reset for the next customers
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-maintained work environment throughout the shift
• Assist with general cleaning tasks, including sweeping and mopping
• Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure efficient operations
• Communicate special requests and customer issues to relevant team members
• Manage fast-paced environments through multitasking and adaptability
• Follow hygiene and safety standards in food handling and service
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in food and beverage service
• Strong knowledge of food service standards and practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
• Commitment to hygiene and safety standards
