About the Role

This position offers the opportunity to develop and build Trade & Working Capital solutions across our client base. This is an exciting chance to combine origination and product-development expertise with the opportunity to influence growth and shape outcomes across a diverse client and geographical base.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop strategy and lead execution of trade finance opportunities (excluding financial institutions) and exporters of commodities in the infrastructure sector across Africa, including oil & gas, mining, transportation & logistics, power, heavy industries, and telecommunications
• Lead the development and origination of Trade & Working Capital solutions across the full product set
• Pitch, structure, negotiate, market, execute, and close trade finance transactions
• Evaluate transactions for financing opportunities, including analysis of financial statements and construction of detailed cash flow projections using MS-Excel
• Manage the entire trade finance value chain from deal origination through market network, deal structuring, and deal execution to approval and financial close (excluding financial institution counterparts)
• Structure, advance, and close transactions by obtaining relevant internal approvals and actively participating in successful conclusion of negotiations
• Prepare transaction documents including engagement letters, proposals, presentations, and information memoranda
• Deliver income and balance sheet growth across key infrastructure segments
• Lead innovation of new product offerings and manage end-to-end product lifecycle
