Job Summary
We are currently recruiting experienced and motivated sales professionals to join our field sales operations. The Van Sales Representative will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing customer relationships, executing market routes, and distributing products within assigned territories.
The ideal candidate must be proactive, persuasive, and capable of delivering on daily sales targets while maintaining excellent customer service and financial discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets within assigned routes
- Conduct market visits to existing and potential customers
- Ensure proper loading, stocking, and rotation of beverage products in the sales van
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, distributors, and other trade partners
- Negotiate pricing, promotions, and order quantities to maximize sales
- Collect payments and ensure proper reconciliation of daily sales
- Monitor competitor activities and provide market intelligence reports
- Ensure the sales vehicle is kept in good working condition
Required Qualifications
- National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), or Bachelor's Degree (BSc)
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Van Sales Representative in FMCG (preferably beverages)
- Valid driver's license (LASDRI is an advantage)
- Ability to drive a 6-tyre Mitsubishi Canter truck is an added advantage
Key Skills and Competencies
- Digital literacy: Proficiency in WhatsApp, Google tools, Zoom, and other basic digital platforms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven experience in influencing customer purchasing decisions and negotiation
- Strong financial discipline and accountability
- Current residency in Lagos State with familiarity of designated routes
