University Bursar at Venite University

About the Role

The University Bursar is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Venite University. The successful candidate will be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the University's financial affairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Controls
• Treasury Management, including relationships with financial institutions
• Financial Planning and Budgeting

Required Qualifications

• A good honours degree in Accounting or a related field
• A recognized professional accounting qualification
• Minimum of 15 years post-qualification experience in a university or comparable institution
• At least 3 years of service as Deputy Bursar in a university or as Financial Controller in a reputable organization
• Registration as a member of a recognized professional accounting body
• High proficiency in ICT and modern financial management systems
• Sound physical and mental health and not more than 65 years old at the time of resumption

Preferred Qualifications

• FCA (Fellow of Chartered Accountants)
• MBA (Master of Business Administration)
• M.Sc. (Master of Science)

Terms of Appointment

• Single term of five (5) years
• Remuneration and conditions of service are comparable to those in reputable private universities in Nigeria
