Turbine Generator (TG) / Boiler DCS Engineer at African Industries Group (AIG)

Job Summary

You will be responsible for monitoring, controlling, and optimizing the operation of Turbine Generator (TG) and Boiler systems through the Distributed Control System (DCS). You will ensure safe, reliable, and efficient power generation in accordance with operational procedures and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor TG and Boiler parameters through DCS
• Optimize load dispatch and ensure stable operation under varying conditions
• Identify and respond promptly to system alarms and trips
• Coordinate with field operators for equipment start-up, shutdown, and load changes
• Maintain operational logs and shift reports
• Ensure adherence to all plant safety and environmental compliance standards
• Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of abnormal plant conditions
• Liaise with maintenance teams for planned and unplanned outages

Requirements

• B.Eng / B.Tech / HND in Electrical & Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering
• 3–5 years of experience in TG/Boiler DCS operation and maintenance within a power plant or heavy industrial utility environment
