Transport Manager at Mikano

We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill this position. POSITION SUMMARY As the transport manager, you will be involved in planning, managing, and overseeing all logistics operations, including transportation, distribution, and delivery. TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities to ensure timely customer delivery schedules are met. Prepare and manage the budget for the transportation department, which includes costs related to fuel, maintenance, and personnel. This involves negotiating contracts with external vendors and service providers. Optimize routes, transport methods, and third-party logistics (3PL) partnerships for cost-efficiency and reliability.

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in all logistics activities.

• Lead and develop a team of Transport & logistics staff and Drivers.

• Collaborate with sales, service, and operations teams to align logistics operations with customer requirements and project timelines

QUALIFICATIONS

• A Bachelor's degree or HND in business, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.

• Relevant postgraduate and or professional qualification would be an added advantage.

• Minimum 10 years working experience in related discipline (Automobile Industry/Dealership company).
