About the Role

A reputable organization seeks a dedicated Telematics Specialist/Technician to install, configure, monitor, and maintain telematics systems for clients and across the company's fleet. This position ensures accurate data capture for vehicle tracking, driver behaviour monitoring, fuel consumption analysis, axle load insights, and overall fleet performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and configure telematics systems for fleet vehicles
• Monitor and maintain telematics systems for optimal performance
• Capture and analyze vehicle tracking data
• Track and report on driver behaviour metrics
• Monitor fuel consumption and efficiency
• Provide axle load insights and analysis
• Support overall fleet performance management

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields:
  • Electrical/Electronics Engineering
  • Computer Science/IT
  • Telecommunications
  • Automotive Technology
• 1–3 years of relevant experience

Required Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of GPS/GNSS technology
• Understanding of SIM-based GSM connectivity (2G/3G/4G/5G)
• Knowledge of IoT sensor systems (fuel sensors, temperature sensors, driver-behaviour monitoring)
• Familiarity with telematics platforms

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant technical certifications (GPS/Telematics systems certification)
