Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated computer hardware technician to join our Technical Support Department. The ideal candidate will provide technical assistance to our clients and internal teams, troubleshoot hardware issues, and ensure the smooth operation of computer systems. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair computer hardware issues, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software systems
- Provide technical support to clients and internal staff via phone, email, or in person
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software-related problems promptly
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on computer systems
- Document and track technical issues and resolutions
- Assist in setting up and configuring new hardware and software
- Collaborate with the IT team to improve system performance and resolve recurring issues
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to IT and data security
Qualifications and Requirements
- B.Sc or HND qualification
- 1 - 3 years of experience in computer hardware repair and maintenance
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, hardware components, and peripherals
- Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Familiarity with operating systems and software applications
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
