Technical Production Supervisor at Ascentech Services Limited

About the Role

A dynamic team is expanding and looking for the right talent to join Ascentech Services Limited in Lagos as a Technical Production Supervisor. You will oversee daily production operations, ensuring product quality and maintaining high technical standards across the entire production process.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and schedule production staff involved in furniture assembly, finishing, and machine operations
• Develop work methods and align production schedules with other departments
• Conduct inspections of assembled furniture to ensure compliance with specifications and guide staff on correction methods
• Carry out visual inspections of materials and finished goods to ensure proper finishing and tagging
• Identify defects, imperfections, and non-conformities (structural, cosmetic, or functional)
• Document inspection findings and maintain up-to-date quality records
• Verify corrective actions and ensure prompt resolution of identified defects
• Prepare cut lists and utilize industry software such as Masscut and SketchUp
• Identify and solve work-related issues while recommending improvements for productivity and quality
• Train employees on job duties, safety procedures, and company policies
• Prepare daily and weekly production and activity reports
• Visit job sites and take accurate measurements
• Recommend staffing actions including hiring and promotions
• Communicate all production activities and issues to management
• Collaborate effectively with the production team and other departments
• Maintain a high level of technical expertise across all areas of production

Required Qualifications

• B.Sc or HND in Manufacturing Engineering, Architecture, Woodwork, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a furniture manufacturing company
• Strong technical ability (MANDATORY)
• High attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and non-conformities
• Ability to stand and supervise for long hours
