About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Associate to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering expert tax advice, managing compliance tasks, and supporting our clients in navigating complex tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive tax due diligence to clients across various industries
• Prepare tax returns and related filings for Companies Income Tax, Withholding Tax, Value Added Tax, Capital Gain Tax, and Personal Income Tax
• Conduct tax research and stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations
• Identify tax planning opportunities and provide actionable insights to clients
• Support clients in tax audits and tax investigations, and liaise with relevant tax authorities
• Register new companies with the tax station and obtain initial tax clearance certificates
• Prepare clients' monthly, quarterly, and yearly management reports and financial statements
• Develop strong client relationships and deliver excellent service
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance service offerings and drive firm growth

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of second-class upper classification, or HND with an upper credit in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2-3 years of experience in tax consulting, accounting, or related roles
• Solid understanding of Nigerian tax laws, regulatory frameworks, and compliance requirements
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong client service and communication abilities
• Professional discretion and commitment to confidentiality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CITN
