Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced professional for this strategic opening. This is not a sales role.
We're looking for a Strategic Business Development Manager who understands how growth is designed, not just sold. You should be someone who can operate confidently across public sector and private sector ecosystems, translate strategy into commercial outcomes, and enable sustainable revenue at scale.
If you understand market expansion strategy, product-led growth, enterprise and government procurement dynamics, and how to build structured, repeatable BD engines—this role is for you.
The Opportunity
You will own and drive the business growth agenda—from identifying where the business should play, to shaping how it wins. The focus is on strategic market positioning, partnerships, upselling, and long-term value creation, not transactional selling.
You'll work closely with leadership, product, and commercial teams to ensure growth efforts are intentional, data-led, and aligned to long-term objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute business development and market expansion strategies across public and private sectors
- Identify and evaluate new markets, industries, and revenue opportunities
- Drive enterprise and government engagements, including partnerships, alliances, and strategic bids
- Lead upselling and cross-selling strategies across existing client portfolios
- Translate product capabilities into clear, compelling value propositions
- Enable sales effectiveness through strategic sales enablement, not aggressive selling
- Structure, negotiate, and close high-value, complex deals
- Conduct market intelligence, competitor analysis, and risk assessment to inform strategic decisions
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and delivery teams to ensure aligned execution
- Track performance, report outcomes, and continuously refine strategy
Requirements
- MBA or postgraduate qualification
