## Title: Steel Fabrication Quality Control Officer

This position offers a great opportunity for career growth in steel fabrication quality control within a dynamic construction environment.

Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting/returning unacceptable materials
Work with the Factory Manager to identify approaches and methods to improve overall quality and educate workers on required standards
Note and report on work that does not meet requirements; interpret and review shop drawings
Inspect completed work and work in progress to determine compliance with specifications and plan requirements
Monitor overall construction performance regarding technical quality and compliance with design and specification requirements
Approve in-process construction and fabrication by confirming required specifications
Approve all finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests
Return products for rework if needed and complete documentation to confirm completion
Document and update inspection results by completing reports and logs
Prepare testing, qualification, and certification processes for welding as per project specifications
Monitor and ensure welding is carried out under proper conditions
Provide accurate data on welding inspection parameters
Prepare relevant reports on welding activities
Provide professional supervision to the welding team
Coach and mentor junior employees; seek opportunities to develop leadership in others
Study codes and required project specifications
Maintain safe work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations

Relevant degree in Engineering, Building & Construction, Architecture, or Technology
At least 4–8 years of experience in the steel fabrication industry
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and AutoCAD
