About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our team in a Steel Detailing Draughtsman position.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare workshop drawings and detailed technical documentation
• Prepare proposed BOQ backup drawings and Bill of Quantity documents
• Price prepared Bills of Quantity
• Forecast and prepare work programs for projects
• Prepare method statements for fabrication and erection works
• Represent the company in site meetings
• Coordinate projects from fabrication through to handover
• Prepare interim and final valuations for the company and sub-contractors
• Prepare material lists for projects
• Communicate with clients and structural engineers for project clarification
• Record physical observations and measurements of new projects, provide reports, and implement findings
• Coordinate with the Factory Manager on project activities, staff management, and provide up-to-date project reports

Required Qualifications

• BSc in Engineering, Architecture, or degree from a technical college
• 4–8 years of experience as a draughtsman, specifically in the Steel Fabrication Industry

Required Skills

• Proven work experience as a Steel Detailing Drafter or in a similar role
• Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (AutoCAD) software and Tekla
• Familiarity with 3D modeling tools and Excel
• Strong mathematical skills
• Ability to meet deadlines consistently

Additional Information

Proximity to Illupeju and Anthony Oshodi areas will be an added advantage. Candidates willing to resume immediately will be highly preferred.
