Solar Technician at Carlcare Development

Job Summary

A reputable organization seeks a dedicated Solar Technician to install, maintain, and repair solar power systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with solar installations and a strong understanding of electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission solar power systems, including panels, inverters, batteries, and mounting structures
• Conduct routine maintenance on solar installations to ensure optimal performance
• Troubleshoot system faults and carry out necessary repairs
• Perform site assessments and determine system design requirements
• Ensure all installations comply with safety standards and company procedures
• Prepare service reports and maintain accurate documentation
• Educate customers on system usage, basic troubleshooting, and safety guidelines
• Collaborate with the engineering and sales teams to support project delivery
• Monitor system performance and recommend upgrades or improvements

Requirements & Qualifications

• OND, HND, or B.Sc in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field
• 1 to 3 years proven experience as a Solar Technician or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, batteries (including lithium), and electrical wiring
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Physical fitness and ability to work at heights
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Must reside in Ibadan or be willing to relocate
