Responsibilities

• Perform site-specific engineering analysis and assessments to detail exact requirements
• Install solar panels, inverters, batteries, charge controllers, and other necessary equipment at various locations and in different environments
• Ensure electrical wiring is correctly installed and adheres to all safety and technical standards
• Maintain records of maintenance, installation, and operation procedures for each site
• Diagnose and repair issues related to solar system performance
• Stay current with emerging technologies and techniques in solar installation
• Provide detailed technical explanations to clients on how to use the systems effectively

Requirements and Skills

• OND / HND / B.Eng. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
• Certification in PV installation (a plus)
• Proven experience as a Solar Installer or in a similar role in the energy sector
• Familiarity with electrical wiring and equipment safety protocols
• Strong working knowledge of tools and machinery
• Ability to work at heights, on roofs, and in varying weather conditions
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and customer service skills
