Solar Engineer/ Electrical Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Solar Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of solar power systems. This role involves both technical and site-based responsibilities, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, safely, and within set quality standards.

Agbara and Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for solar installations
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of solar systems
• Coordinate with procurement and project teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
• Ensure compliance with electrical and safety standards
• Prepare project documentation including drawings, BOQs, reports, and technical submittals
• Troubleshoot system issues and ensure proper operation and maintenance
• Stay updated with the latest solar technologies, standards, and best practices

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or related field
• 2–5 years of experience in solar PV design, installation, or maintenance
• Good understanding of electrical systems, inverters, and balance of system components
• Familiarity with local and international solar standards and regulations
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
