Solar Engineer / Electrical Engineer

Position Overview

The Solar Engineer will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of solar power systems. This role involves both technical and site-based responsibilities, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, safely, and within set quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for solar installations
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of solar systems
• Coordinate with procurement and project teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
• Ensure compliance with electrical and safety standards
• Prepare project documentation including drawings, BOQs, reports, and technical submittals
• Troubleshoot system issues and ensure proper operation and maintenance
• Stay updated with the latest solar technologies, standards, and best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy Engineering, or related field
• 2–5 years of experience in solar PV design, installation, or maintenance
• Good understanding of electrical systems, inverters, and balance of system components
• Familiarity with local and international solar standards and regulations
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
