Software Developer / IT Support Officer at Unilag Microfinance Bank

About the Role

Unilag Microfinance Bank is seeking a talented and motivated Software Developer / IT Support Officer to join our Technology and Innovation team. The ideal candidate will support the development of digital banking solutions and provide technical assistance to ensure smooth IT operations across the bank.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of the bank's internal software applications and digital platforms
• Provide first-level IT support to staff, including troubleshooting system, hardware, and network issues
• Collaborate with the IT team to improve system functionality and efficiency
• Support the deployment and integration of new technologies across departments
• Maintain accurate documentation for all software, systems, and IT assets

Required Qualifications

• B.Sc. or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Basic knowledge of at least one programming language (Python, C#, JavaScript, or PHP)
• Familiarity with database systems (SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL)
• Understanding of hardware setup, network configuration, and troubleshooting
• Good communication skills and attention to detail
• Strong desire to learn and grow in both software development and IT operations

Preferred Advantages

• Experience with banking applications or fintech systems
• Knowledge of frameworks such as ASP.NET, React, or Laravel
• Understanding of version control tools (e.g., GitHub)
• Previous internship or experience in a similar role
