Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Nursing Officer to join our expanding team at Dukes Neurosurgery and Specialist Hospital. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Lagos. The successful candidate will oversee nursing services, coordinate patient care, and ensure adherence to hospital policies and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing services and coordinate patient care across the facility
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies and best practices
• Perform core nursing functions including patient assessment, wound care, and medication administration
• Implement and deliver staff training programs
• Monitor patient outcomes and care quality
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support comprehensive patient care
• Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and documentation requirements
• Lead and manage nursing staff effectively
• Conduct patient education and develop care plans

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field
• Current registered nursing license in Nigeria
• Minimum 5 years of relevant clinical nursing and leadership experience
• Strong clinical skills including patient assessment, wound care, medication administration, and medical equipment management
• Proven leadership and team management capabilities
• Experience with staff training and development
• Knowledge of hospital policies, medical terminology, and Nigerian healthcare regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
• Familiarity with healthcare record systems (Electronic Medical Records/EMR preferred)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach to healthcare delivery
• Experience with patient education, care planning, and efficient documentation processes
