JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. (JSI) is a public health management consulting and research organization dedicated to improving the health of individuals and communities throughout the world. JSI is currently implementing the Routine Immunization Project.

Project Goal

The Routine Immunization Project's overarching goal is to strengthen routine immunization programs to:

• Sustainably overcome entrenched obstacles contributing to stagnating and declining immunization rates in supported states
• Address barriers to reaching zero-dose and under-immunized children with life-saving vaccines and other health services

The Project will provide technical assistance to support routine immunization strengthening in supported states, applying a co-creation approach to improve equitable coverage with a focus on identifying, understanding, and reaching zero-dose and under-immunized children.

Position Summary

The Senior Immunization Technical Advisor (SITA), under the supervision of the Project Director, manages information and reporting processes and products to ensure professional, high-quality communication about Routine Immunization programmatic activities. The SITA plays an important role in improving program activity implementation management, periodic activity reporting, and strengthening knowledge sharing and learning across the organization and with the international health and development communities, including NPHCDA and SPHCDAs.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the strengthening of NPHCDA and SPHCDAs, where relevant to routine immunization
• Work directly on a daily basis with partners involved in supporting routine immunization services, in conjunction with the Project Director
• Provide quality institutional and individual capacity building to national and state counterparts to manage and implement tailored approaches for sustainable and equitable access
