Senior Financial Manager at HR Aid

Position Overview

The Senior Financial Manager will oversee the financial operations of the NGO and work closely with the CEO to develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures that ensure efficient financial management. This position offers a significant opportunity for career growth.

In this role, you will lead a team of financial professionals, provide comprehensive financial analysis and reporting, and play a crucial role in budgeting, forecasting, and risk management for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the NGO's financial strategic vision, policies, and procedures to support overall goals and objectives
• Oversee all financial operations and create effective, efficient organizational structures
• Prepare high-level budgets aligned with strategic vision
• Conduct financial management and reporting activities
• Utilize analytical skills to review financial data, assess performance, and develop financial strategies
• Oversee income tax and VAT processes and workings
• Oversee payroll operations for the organization
• Oversee human resource functions of the organization
• Prepare and present accurate, timely financial reports, statements, and analysis to the CEO and Board
• Monitor and analyse financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators, identifying areas of concern and suggesting corrective actions
• Manage financial relationships with external parties, including banks, auditors, and financial institutions
• Conduct regular financial risk assessments, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies
• Ensure implementation and maintenance of strong internal controls and financial systems
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and financial regulations
• Manage and oversee internal and external audits, ensuring timely completion and adherence to audit requirements
