Senior Finance Associate at Maxitech Global Investment Limited

About the Role

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Senior Finance Associate.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate and oversee the entire budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to align financial planning with business strategy
• Monitor and analyze key financial metrics, trends, and variances, providing actionable insights to senior management to drive informed decision-making
• Oversee and maintain the general ledger, account reconciliations, and internal financial controls to ensure reliability and integrity of financial information
• Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, remittances, and regulatory compliance, including PAYE, VAT, WHT, and other statutory obligations
• Manage cash flow planning, working capital optimization, and effective treasury operations to support ongoing and future business needs
• Supervise and support the finance team in payroll administration, accounts payable, receivables, and inventory costing
• Coordinate internal and external audits, preparing audit schedules, responding to queries, and implementing recommendations
• Drive automation and efficiency in finance processes using accounting software such as Odoo, QuickBooks, Sage, and advanced Excel tools
• Liaise with external stakeholders including auditors, tax authorities, banks, and vendors, ensuring professional relationships and timely resolutions
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development to junior finance staff, fostering a culture of performance and accountability

Requirements

• Master's Degree (MSc or MBA) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• ICAN certification (or equivalent such as ACCA) — mandatory
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a structured finance role, preferably in retail, technology, or FMCG sectors
