Senior Credit Analyst at GTI Group

About the Role

GTI Group is seeking a qualified Senior Credit Analyst to join our team in Lagos. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive credit assessments and supporting the development of effective risk management practices across our organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough credit appraisals of loan applications, including analysis of financial statements, cash flow, repayment capacity, and collateral
• Prepare detailed credit reports and recommendations for management or credit committee approval
• Ensure all credit proposals comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements, including CBN guidelines
• Monitor existing loan portfolios and identify early warning signals of potential default
• Recommend restructuring, remedial actions, or recovery strategies for non-performing loans
• Support the Head of Credit in implementing effective risk management practices
• Review and update credit risk assessment models and scoring criteria
• Provide mentorship and technical support to junior credit officers
• Liaise with account officers, business development teams, and other departments to ensure sound credit decisions
• Participate in credit committee meetings and contribute to policy formulation
