Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Senior Business Analyst to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria. This is a contract-based hybrid role with the flexibility to work from home on occasion. You will be responsible for analyzing business processes, defining business requirements, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders to gather information, documenting business workflows, and delivering actionable insights to support decision-making and improve business performance.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis
- Provide actionable insights to help stakeholders minimize costs and enhance financial efficiency
- Identify potential areas for cost reduction or process improvements within proposed projects
- Collaborate with finance and other departments to ensure cost-related strategies align with organizational priorities
- Interpret financial metrics to assess whether a project aligns with the organization's financial objectives and risk tolerance
- Provide forecasts that help stakeholders understand the long-term financial implications of implementing or rejecting a project
- Use financial modeling techniques to project future costs and benefits over time
- Conduct thorough assessments of proposed projects to determine their financial feasibility
- Analyze potential costs, benefits, and risks associated with each project to guide investment decisions
Internal Process Optimization
- Review and assess current workflows to identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks
- Gather data and insights to understand how processes impact operational effectiveness
- Work with departments to ensure an in-depth understanding of core processes
- Create detailed documentation of workflows, business rules, and operational procedures
- Develop clear and comprehensive process flow diagrams to map each step
- Maintain and update documentation to reflect current processes and procedures
