A reputable organization seeks a dedicated individual for this position. The Senior Account Officer will ensure the smooth running of treasury operational activities, including receipts, payments, and financial feedback, while maintaining complete and accurate financial data to facilitate timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage relationships and all correspondence with banks and prepare books of account
• Manage relationships with financial service providers and maintain contacts of all bank account managers
• Process daily lodgment and withdrawal of sales and other cash into designated company bank accounts
• Prepare weekly sales schedules by location and branch
• Raise Payment Vouchers (PV) for all approved requisition memos and ensure PVs are appropriately and correctly prepared, including Vendor's ledgers, before any payment is made via cheques or electronic transfers in all currencies
• Review and check all written Payment Vouchers (PV) to verify adequacy of authorization and approval of expenditure memos, payment terms, and compliance with agreed or approved modes of payment before submission to signatories
• Prepare daily bank position and weekly treasury reports, including reconciliation of previous week treasury actuals versus budget, variance statements, and cashflow projections for the week
• Submit daily treasury reports to the CFO by 10:00 AM and first work day of the week reports on schedule
• Update and consolidate loan schedules showing financing obligations for the month and quarter
• Monitor liquidity plans to ensure obligations are met when due and raise necessary payment vouchers for loan principal and interest repayments
• Execute Form M documentation and raise Letter of Credit instructions to initiating banks
• Monitor Letters of Credit to ensure efficient negotiation of terms
