About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our security team in a farm operations environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular and routine patrols of the farm's perimeter, livestock areas, equipment storage, and feed facilities to deter theft and vandalism
• Implement and enforce strict access control measures, including monitoring and managing entry and exit points for personnel, vehicles, and visitors
• Monitor and manage security systems such as CCTV cameras, alarms, and other surveillance technologies to detect and respond to suspicious activities
• Ensure strict enforcement of biosecurity protocols to prevent the introduction and spread of animal diseases
• Promptly respond to security threats, emergencies, and incidents, and report any breaches or suspicious activities to management
• Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all security incidents, patrol activities, and visitor records

Essential Skills and Qualities

• Keen observational abilities to monitor the farm and identify signs of intrusion, theft, or animal distress
• Effective communication skills to relay information to farm management, security personnel, and visitors while enforcing protocols
• Ability to follow established security protocols and procedures diligently
• Physical capability to conduct extensive patrols across farm premises
• Understanding of farm operations, including biosecurity principles and the vulnerabilities of livestock and equipment

Compensation

Salary: ₦60,000 (depending on experience)
