Scaffolding Supervisor - Marconi.NG EPC Limited, Lagos

Position Overview

The Scaffolding Supervisor manages all scaffolding operations, ensuring safe erection, modification, and dismantling of access platforms in compliance with BS EN 12811 and Nigerian regulations.

Site Manager / HSE Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Design and plan scaffolding structures based on access requirements
• Supervise erection and dismantling of scaffolds
• Inspect all scaffolds using the Scafftag system, ensuring they are safe for use (Green Tag)
• Ensure compliance with TG20:13 and SG4:15 standards
• Manage scaffolding material inventory
• Conduct risk assessments for complex scaffolding (cantilevers, hanging scaffolds)
• Lead the scaffolding rescue team

Required Qualifications

• HND/OND in Civil Engineering or related field
• CITB Advanced Scaffolder or equivalent certification
• Scaffolding Inspection Certificate (CISRS/STI)

Experience

• Minimum 8–10 years in scaffolding operations
• Minimum 3 years as a Scaffolding Supervisor

Technical Skills & Competencies

• Load calculation for scaffold structures
• Knowledge of tube and fitting scaffolds
• Knowledge of system scaffolds (Cuplok/Layher)

Key Performance Indicators

• Zero scaffold collapses or failures
• Timeliness of scaffold availability for other trades
• Accuracy of Scafftag records

• High level of physical fitness and agility required
