Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and high-performing Sales Manager to lead and drive sales operations within the Abuja territory. The ideal candidate must currently hold the role of Area Sales Manager in an FMCG company and possess strong experience in managing distributors, expanding market share, and leading high-performing sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage sales strategies for territory growth
- Oversee distributor management, route-to-market execution, and retail expansion
- Lead, supervise, and motivate the sales team to achieve monthly and quarterly targets
- Analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities
- Ensure effective trade marketing, visibility, and product availability across territories
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key retailers
- Prepare and present regular sales reports to management
Requirements
- Currently working as an Area Sales Manager in the FMCG industry (mandatory)
- Minimum of 5+ years proven experience in FMCG sales and territory management
- Strong understanding of distributor operations and retail market dynamics
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory
